"House Rules" by Jodi Piccoult... possible spoilers
I finished the book last night, and while I love her books, I'm really starting to hate her endings.
I feel like nothing is ever tied up and finished. I'm always left with the feeling of, "sooo?? what happened?!"

Oh god, dont tell me this. LOL ....I'm starting to feel the same way and was PRAYING this one would be different!
I'm mroe then half way trhough and really liking it for the most part, but why is she doing that to books??????

it's not as bad as some of her other endings... but I'm the type of person who wants something SPELLED OUT! and that didn't happen!
I liked the book though!!

Good book but the ending also annoyed me. I like things spelled out also. It also bothered me that I figured "it" out in the first 100 pages.

I figured it out early too, although once or twice I thoguht I might be wrong. I actually really liked the book, some of her recent one were dissapointing to me, and I really enjoyed this one, but I agree her endings kinda suck. It wasnt as bad as some more recent ones, but it wasnt all neat and tidy as it could have been, although I dont know if that would have made the book as satisfying and probably why she did end it that way.
I cant think of HOW I would have wanted it to end really.
I think overall it was better then a few of her most recent books though.

OK, I have been dying to open this thread, but waited until I finished the book 
Ugh, I turned the page wanting to have it spelled out for me!!!!
Did the boys get off?
This was so much like some of her other books, but I feel it gave me a new understanding of autism.

Same here! I just finished and I figured it out very early on. My BFF and I always share her books and I got to read this one first, I actually wrote down what I "thought" happened and sealed it in an envelope and she is going to read it and see if she figures it out as early as I did
I wanted more of an ending myself.

I guessed early on, too You read enough of her books you can see the "twist" a mile away! It wasn't a bad story, but so unsatisying!
