Amazing Race - was it fixed?
Today on Regis & Kelly they mentioned how the final race might have been fixed. Thinking back it totally makes sense. Have you ever seen a plane pull away from the tarmak and close the doors and then come back to let 2 more passengers on? Of course not! Uchena and Joyce never should have been on that 1st flight to Miami. But then it really would have been a boring race at the end with just Amber & Rob. The other flight was 3 hours later. Do you think it is possible? I bet the producers had something to do with it to make it more exciting.

It's so funny that you posted this, because I was discussing it with my mother the other day. I have NEVER seen a plane pull away and then pull back up to let passengers on. If you're not on it, you're not on it. It was weird, because they were like, "Can we get on?" Then there was a commercial break (at a weird and akward moment) and when the show came back on, it was like, "Okay, you can get on." I was like WAIT....how did THAT happen? It was too broken up and weird. While I'm happy Uchenna and Joyce won, I don't think they should've gotten on that plane, BUT if they hadn't gotten it, it would've been a complete runaway for Rob and Amber. I honestly think the producers made a phone call or two for that one.

I might be wrong, but my general feeling is that there are more Rombah detractors than fans (me included) and honestly, if they won I was not going to watch the show again. From other forums I lurk on once in a while, I know I was not alone in that sentiment. So maybe it was fixed.

I completely agree with you tracy, I know that if Rob and Ambah won, I would have stopped watching the show.
so it's definitely a possibility.

while we were watching we were saying the exact same thing. How can so many things happen like that? The plane, the flat, the police.

i don't know about it being fixed, but maybe the lady at the gate called down to the pilot and was like "hey we've got more people here with tv cameras, let's let them on". who knows maybe the pilot watches amazing race and had an inkling that's what it was for. it was definitely weird but you never know...

Actually.. in a roundabout way... Amber and Rob did in fact win-
They got the exposure they wanted, AND they are having their wedding televised, getting their wedding PAID FOR, AND getting paid for having their wedding paid for!
