So I have a plan, but am not sure if it is a bad one . . .
Thanks to everyone that responded to my previous post.
My intention is to start induction on the Atkins diet hard core on Tuesday. However, I am trying from now until then to avoid carbs but not strictly. Example- I had a majority of LC foods today, but I did have a FF yogurt which has carbs. I also want to be able to have some goodies for my birthday this weekend.
My question is, do you think I am sabotaging the possible success of Atkins if I follow it more loosely before I begin being strict?
I just don't want to be playing with the effectiveness of the plan before I begin- does this make sense?
Thanks

i've never done atkins, but i think the "key" is to be strict on the first 2 weeks, then slowly loosen up to add some carbs.
what about south beach? isn't that similar but not as strict as atkins

I don't think you will sabotague anything as long as you aren't going overboard with calories but I think cutting out simple carbs now will give you a little head start.
