encouragement for YOU........a year ago today....
A year ago today, April 14th, I had my second D&C for a failed pregnancy. I will NEVER forget the despair that I felt after trying to get pg. for over a year and having it fail. My first D&C was over a year before that, for a pregnancy that took 3 years to conceive.
So, I remember well a year ago today. I was in despair for what could have been, and would have been, but wasn't. A second time. I remember the PANIC about having to go through the process of getting pregnant again, how hard it was for us, and worrying if it would ever happen for me, and if it would ever work. It took THREE YEARS for the first and another YEAR for the second, and both failed. All the fertility specialists, the doctors, the endless testing....it S*CKS.
Today is a different story. Today, just one year later after my second D&C, I am celebrating my 3 month old baby boy....yes....3 months old.
The reason for my telling you this story is to give you hope and make you realize how profoundly YOUR LIFE WILL CHANGE IN JUST A YEAR. A year ago today, I was in the deepest despair. If you had ever told me on April 14th, 2009 that a year from now I'd have a 3 month old beautiful baby boy, I would have smacked you in the face. A year can sound like a long time...I know. But just know that things will change for you.
With all this, I will never forget the feelings that you guys are feeling now, so please just know that good things are yet to come, and they WILL come. Maybe not this month, or even next month, but they will come.
I received endless support from this board, and hope that you will too.
