? About curtains and Stitch Witchery ?

SoI was going to attempt to MAKE curtains for my boys playroom.
I bought Spiderman fabric, and asked the lady if there are any other options to sewing, since a curtain is such a simple concept (or so Ithink Chat Icon )

So she suggested this gluey tape stuff called Stitch Witchery? Its like a clear tape, and once its ironed with a hot iron (really used for hems, etc) she said she's used it to hem jeans and it worked for a very long time. so a curtain is so much more lightweight than jeans..

has anoyne used it or evenheard of it ?

Also about curtains. I didnt even think about this. and I dont have one to look at as an example. but my hubby said both sides of the curtain should be "nice" To look at, like you shouldnt see the "back of the fabric" looking part from the outside of the house. huh ???
are all printed curtains double sided? now I have to shop around just to see who wins this one ? Chat Icon

Yes, you can use the tape. You just iron it on to "sew" a seam. It's great for no-saw curtains. Actually Ikea sells the tape with their curtains.

I've never used Stitch Witchery, but I just looked at all my curtains and they aren't double sided, the rough side faces out.

I use it to hem my pants. Good stuff!

But sewing it would be really easy too with a machine, and it would last longer and hold better.
