Very uneventful. Repeat c section as this was my 3rd. The night before, DH & I dropped our 5 year old and 18 month old boys at my parents house. I cried like a baby with my little guy, I felt like I was betraying him by taking away his time to still be a baby. DH & I went home and I tried to sleep but kept waking up every hour. Finally at 4:30 I got up and showered and we were on our way by 6 am. By 7 AM I was hooked up to monitors, had my IV and my Dr was there. by 730 I had my drink of bicitrate (horrrrible), I was in the OR a few minutes later. I got my spinal and some medication so I wouldnt throw up. I did. But it was the weirdest feeling because everything was numb I couldnt really gag. After thqt my DH came in and my Dr started at 8 exactly. At 8:10 Jason Dominic arrived screaming and fighting. He weighed in at 8lbs 11oz, 20.5 inches. My biggest baby!
I was given morphine which made me pass out on the table, I slept for most of the day, passing out mid-sentence lol. By 8pm i was up for good and he was brought to me. A nice head of black hair and pretty grey eyes.
My c was awesome, no pain and I mean no pain the nurses couldnt believe it. I was up walking around by midnight after my foley was taken out.
He is a month old now and a pleasure, gives me 5-6 hours of sleep at a stretch. Big brothers John & Joey are so good with him.
