Mom
I lost my dad in January, he got sick in November. I just had a baby a few months earlier in August - his first grandchild.
My mom is having a very hard time dealing with his death. She had just retired last June and they had a lot of plans, especially involving their new grandchild. Now she is alone and lost.
She hasn't had any appetite in months, she doesn't eat much, has lost a lot of weight and is very anxious. She was always a nervous person, this just made it worse.
She started seeing a therapist who put her on some anti anxiety meds, not sure how much it is helping.
I try to keep her busy on weekends and she watches my son twice a week. But she's just not herself. She misses my dad so much. I'm not sure what else to do for her.
Any advice you can give me is appreciated!

Re: Mom
I'm sorry for your loss :huggy
D you have family members around? Does your mom have girlfriends? Maybe get them involved
When my uncle died, we all tried keeping my aunt busy - inviting her to our homes for bbqs, or a day out shopping, go out for lunch or dinner all the ladies planned a day trip to AC, etc.
I hope your mom starts to find it easier to go on without your dad
