Clemens makes his decision...
It must be nice to get to sit back and choose when and where you want to play...
This is what I hate about athletes, how cocky they get when they know they are good. He can go scratch.
I don't want my son to idolize arrogant bastards like him and bonds.
This is just my opinion, noone has to agree...

I'm sorry but what did Clemens do that was so wrong? He decided to go play for the Astros. What's the problem with that?
I am not a Clemens fan at all but I just don't get what he did wrong?

He made the best decision for him. How is that arrogant?
The situation that he was in was due to his exceptional skills..
How can you not idolize that?
I mean come on...bedda..
I can understand not wanting your son to not idolize a wife beater, a steriod user, a druggie...
But this?
He is able to do that because he is a great player. THE TEAMS what him.
He set the terms and people wanted it...
what the hell is wrong or arrogant about that?

i agree with you red
in this case, there is a big confusion between arrogance and confidence. Clemens is a great player and is confident in his ability, hence held out for what he felt was the best deal.
Plus, I am sure the Yanks or another team might have even offered him more, but he put family first, which is pretty admirable.
And I am certainly NOT a Clemens fan
