Met with RE today
My pregnancy test isn't until Monday, but our counts were so bad that they wanted to get the ball rolling on IVF.
We decided to do one last IUI cycle for June. If that (or this one) doesn't take then we will be aiming for an August 1st IVF cycle.
I'll take the classes in July and go on Birth Control for that month then we start.
Lupron, FSH, low-dose HcG, and Progesterone shots. Yippee.
I got a little freaked out by all the risks and shots, but we'll face it when it's time.
And hopefully one of the IUI cycles will stick and we won't need to go there!

Re: Met with RE today
Lauren I too hope you don't need it. But I can tell you I have felt better going through the IVF process than I have felt since my miscarriage. Maybe it is the pro-active thing, maybe it is my RE, maybe I am crazy but...whatever it is, it just helps to know that your chances increase so much with IVF. ANd the meds really are not that bad - I had no side effects. It is a little stressful at first but then you get the hang of it.

I agree with Kara and I think you will find too that if you need to go that route, it is so much easier than you expected.

I hope you don't need it!
But if you do, IVF success rates are so much higher!

Re: Met with RE today
Lauren...I agree with everyone else. If you have to take the injection class....don't worry, there is a lot of information and it seems overwhelming....but when it comes down to it, it's not so bad. Please feel free to FM me with any questions, I would be happy to help.
Wishing you lots of baby dust

Re: Met with RE today
ITs gonna be fine. I pray that you dont need the IVF...but like everyone said the injections arent as bad as they seem.
I NEVER took a class and did two months of injections, 3 different meds all with just a 2 second demo from the nurse. Thats gotta tell ya how easy it is once you get the hang of it.
