Thyroidectomy
Just wondering if anyone has had a full thyroidectomy and if they experienced weight gain because of it? Also if you could let me know how your recovery went.

While I have not personally experienced this my best friend did 2 years ago. Her recovery went well and she was back to work within a week or two. She actually lost weight after her surgery. They found the right dosage of meds to regulate her. Good Luck!

I MAY have a full thryoidectomy.
right now, i'm set up to get a lobe removed (the left one) due to a solid nodule that has grown and shows suspicious cells
if it shows up in the operating room as cancerous, they they will remove the entire thryoid.
