Gift for coach ???
Do you all give a gift to your DC's coach at the end of the season ? If so , what ?
I was thinking of getting my DS's T-ball coach a family pack of movie tickets or a Friendly's g/c or something...His DS is on our team and also his older DS
( 11) helps out quite a bit with the little guys...
Is that good ? Any other ideas ?

If you want to get him something more "coachy" then maybe this... Personalized Whistle
I got this for my brother for christmas, he coaches JV baseball. He loved it

As a former coach I think those are 2 good ideas. Just the fact that you are recognizing him for his work with the kids will make his day. Is there a "team parent", if so they may organize a group gift?

Generally, I chip in with the team gift (retaurant gc usually) but in addition to that I take photos of the coach's family and design their holiday card.
I wish I had thought to organize a group gift, as the last game is Wednesday and no-one has done it, so I guess we are each doing our own thing....

Thats is VERY cute ! I will have to keep it in mind for next season ( won't have enough time this season, last game is Wed  )

I think because we are all just learning about the team thing (t-ball) , none of us thought to be a team parent...I will be sure to organize something next season though !

My Dh is a coach and we love the gift cards
he has gotten Friendlys,Dicks Sporting Goods and also a neighborhood restaurant gc

My dh coaches multiple sports. The parents are very sweet and have given him various things...gift cards to Dicks, Sports Authority or Visa, cash gifts(there are usually 10-15 girls on the team...team collects about 5-10 per player), gc's to restaurants and movies and once he received a very nice spring coat from under armour. He loves getting personalized drawings from the kids. My dh is also a PE teacher and he hangs all his cards / drawings in his office at school. I think just the fact that you thought of the coach is a great thing, the amount doesn't matter much. HTH.
