rehoming suggestions for a friend
Someone at works daughter needs to rehome her dog. He is (I think) almost 2. Bide-a-wee told her he was mastiff mix when she got him there. Are there any organizations out there that rescue mixes? She took him to bide-a-wee in the city but they said there are so many dogs that look like him that he would never be adopted from them, so she took him home and he is now staying with her mom. He is a nice dog but has some aggression issues. He has been professionally trained (2 times) and is very loving to the family but not to strangers.
The girl is in a tough situation. She bought a home as a single, very young person and now was excessed from her school. She had to rent out a room to a friend to carry the house. The dog has known this girl since her was a puppy. Out of nowhere she was petting him and he bit her. I believe he has bitten in the past, seemingly unprovoked.

Re: rehoming suggestions for a friend
she can call a mastiff rescue they usually will take breeds that are mixed. But please tell her to tell them everything about her dog so they can find homes where they have experience with mastiffs or "aggressive" dogs. I think if she can afford to offer some training with a trainer more rescues might be inclined to take him because they do not have to use their funds to "rehabilitate" the dog.
