Does anyone know what would elevate liver #'s on bloodwork?
the dr. said on my blood work, my liver levels were a little high, to get rechecked in a month (it has 3 now) I have to go back, but what would cause that? I don't drink, although I should start

A medication, a virus, gallstones, etc...so many things. Def follow up to make sure it's ok next time.

alcohol, heart medication, hepatitis,..
don't sweat it..these things go up and down sometimes.
Get it rechecked and stay in touch with your doc.

Obesity is a major cause of high liver enzymes.

If the person is not a big alcohol drinker an does not take meds that effect the live and they don't have hepatitis, a lot of times its due to gallstones that the person doesn't even know they have.
I would just follow up on it, and see what it is next time. Maybe go for an ultrasound of the gallbladder to check for stones?

Hi --- thanks for all the replies, I just had the follow up app't - 8 months later (my fault) but now everything came back great - I lost 14lbs, but wasn't obese, so not sure if that had anything to do with it or not. thanks!
