Adding another cat?
I have two great cats, a male and a female. They get along very well, but they have been through a lot this year, moving to two new places in the span of two months, one move on a long plane ride.
I had a problem with one of the cats peeing for a few years, but we solved that problem by changing the litter. She hasn't done it in months and who would have thought it would be so simple?
Anyway, they seem settled in now and DH and I would like to get another cat. However, our cats now are so perfect we are afraid of adding another b/c it may just mess that all up.
Has anyone had this situation? What did you do?

Re: Adding another cat?
It takes time, but they do get used to each other. When I was living at my moms we had 4 cats and then I moved out and took my cat along with another cat I got with us. That kitten unfortunately died from fip (terrrible!) and so we waited a few months and got another kitten which then also died from FIP... so you can imagine the stress my cat was under loosing two companions in a matter of months and moving.. we had decided to then get a dog for her company and as luck would have it we got another kitty (actually more like saved and then kept). At first she was very hesitant and kept her distance, but now both my dogs and both my cats are good with each other! It takes time ! Good luck!
