Anyones Same Sex Twins look very different?

And did you see any issues develop?

Sydney and Chloe basically look nothing alike. You can tell they are sisters, but thats about it.

Sydney is now 3 lbs bigger then Chloe which at 10 months is a huge difference, and is over an inch taller.

We get so many comments, all day long about they ARE twins, and this one looks big and this one looks like "this" ...and I worry about when they get older.

I find that people favor Sydney..a LOT. She is a chunky happy baby and peopel are just drawn to her. Then Chloe, I get oh wow, shes so pretty...and off to Sydney.

I'm worried the fact that their so differently shaped ( as I suffer from poor body image myself) will affect them.

I just am bothered by the fact they seemingly are treated different at only 10 months.

Am I worrying for nothing? Will it be ok? Any BTDT moms advice or experiences?

my girls look different, they are only 9 weeks
but one is dark haired and a looks chunkier
the other is blonde and looks small and petite
but they both get equal attention
im glad they look different i think it will help them in forming their own identities apart from each other,
i'm sure you will tell them both how pretty, smart, fun etc, they both are and that will play a huge part of their self image

its funny you mention this because i was thinking the same thing recently.

my boys look very different ,
one is much shorter than the other..
and joey has some set of hair on him ,while Dylan has nothing.

they are still really young , 3 months old , but curious to see what they will be like at your DD 's ages.

I get this with my boys. Marco is taller and thinner and Alex is chunkier. People tend to gravitate to the chubbier baby. I have a friend that had twin boys and you would never even know they were related that's how different they look.

When C & J were born, James was such a cute baby; chubby, blonde hair, big blue eyes, smiled right away. Claire was skinny and not very cute. In fact, there were many times when people would come over and proclaim "Wow, he is just such a cute baby....and then look at Claire and say "Oh, she is pretty too"

I knew that they I was going to have problems with favoritism with strangers. However, one day, Claire just came into herself, found her personality and just bloomed!

the babies are balancing out now, but for awhile michael got so much more attention than leah. somebody actually asked me one day if she was ok. i didn't realize what she meant til she said "like is she going to be ok, she looks like a preemie" moron.


anwyay....its not like syd is this huge chunky baby--she is more on target for their age. chloe is petite....you can just tell she is going to be petite. and aside from that difference, their faces look so much alike!!!!!!!!!
