anyone ever make your own nautical flags?

I would like to somehow make nautical flags for my DS's new room with his three initials. I am curious if anyone has ever done this before, or if you have any hints? I saw some you can buy online - but I really wanted to make them myself. Someone I saw online sells "flag" made out of wood... that seemed cool..... any ideas? TIA!

do you mean spelling out his name using the flags? and just to clarify, you want to use these flags, and not penant flags like what yacht clubs use, right?



if you want to use those, you may be better off going to a marine store and purchasing the flags that way, than making them. if you are handy with a sewing machine and have the fabric on hand, you can definitely do it, but it might just be cheaper to go out and buy them.
