Please pray for my unborn baby (update 8/3)
This is the first time I have ever been to this board and just read some of your stories and have been sitting here crying. Some of you are so strong with what you have to deal with.
Anyway, I am 19weeks pregnant and ther eis a chance my baby might have down's syndrome. I know that is not the end of the world but as a special education teacher for 9 years I see the struggles that the children and their parents have.
This is our first child and we are beyond excited. I am going for my level 2 sono on Tuesday the 3rd. This sono should show us if the markers they found a few weeks ago have gone away, are still there, or if more have popped up. If they find more markers I will probably be having an amnio to find out for sure.
Please, please, please pray that this baby is healthy and strong and no markers are found on Tuesday.
I want to get back to enjoying this pregnancy and looking forward to meeting my baby. Thank you so much

So I went for my level 2 and both markers were gone and the baby looked perfect. My new risk for downs is 1 in 35,000. Thank you to all who prayed

I'm praying for you and your baby. Try not to worry so much just yet and enjoy your pregnancy as much as you can. When my aunt was pregnant with my godson, they told her he had "alot" of markers and would "probably" be born with Down's syndrome... she decided NOT to do the amnio because of the risks at the time and carried out her pregnancy to term.... when he was born, he was the most beautiful, healthy little baby boy I had ever seen and he did NOT have Down's Syndrome.... he's 8 years old now...
