employee leaving
one of our colleagues is leaving the firm to pursue another job. Today was her last day. We wanted to do something for her but she is not showing up until 4pm to just drop off her laptop.
She has been here fror 5 years and we aggressively tried to get her to stay but she decided to leave.

It's not anyone's business if she doesn't want to say goodbye. Maybe she's "done" with the job and doesn't see the need.
I am not saying it is right or wrong, I just wouldn't let it bother me. People do what they want.

I am not saying it is right or wrong, I just wouldn't let it bother me. People do what they want.
ITA. DH always says to his boss at annual review time that he doesn't accept counter offers, to make sure they know what they have to do to keep him.
I guess the fact that she looked for another job and doesn't want to come in until 4 means that the job wasn't a fit for her?
