Dog leaking urine?
For the second time in about 2 weeks my dog got up from the couch and left a huge wet spot . I'm assuming it's urine but not sure. We will most likely take her to the vet next week but wondering if anyone has had experience with this.
She is 3 1/2 year old mutt.

I don't have any advice. I just hope your pup is ok Keep us posted on what the vet says.

Could it just be drool? Did you try to sop it up w/a white napkin/paper towel to see if it was urine?

I have a boxer that used to do the SAME thing.... she is now on a medication called PPA... its for urinary health..... but she wasn't prescribed it until after a $$$ visit  She had to have an ultrasound to make sure there was nothing serious.
She now gets the medication 2x a day, for the rest of her life. I want to say it costs us about $25 a month.

Yes, def not drool. The puddle was under her when she got up.

this happened once with out pup too... our vet said not to worry if it happened only once or twice, but if it happens a lot then to come in and they'll do some tests
it only happened that one time

could it be your dog licking their paw. Casey left a huge wet spot on the couch and I thought she peed but she was licking her paw.
When you tried to soak up the wet spot with a paper towel was it yellow?

Yes, slightly yellow but also I believe she was sleeping at the time anyway. The puddle was under her.

She is acting totally normal. Just 2 random times. Maybe I'll just call the vet and ask what they think. I'd hate to have her go through unnecessary testing. SHe HATES going to the vet
