Rhogam Shot
Has anyone had one?? I have my appointment to have it done tomorrow and for some reason, I'm anxious about it.
Anyone know how they administer it (i.e., through your arm)??

Is that the shot for the blood types (negative/positive)? If it is, my SIL had to get in and she got it in her butt, she said it wasn't that painful.

Its a shot you get if your blood type is NEGATIVE. It is administered in your arm (atleast mine was 2x)

I have to go today for mine also. I had one when I miscarried and it was in my butt. I'll let you know where they do it this time tonight...

OK - just got back and they asked me whether I wanted it in the butt or arm - so you should be able to make your own decision!

I thought you only get it if mom and dad had different blood types? I am negative so dh had to get tested and is positive so I need the shot.

Mine was given to me sort of in my butt. I say sorta because she told me that the best place to put it is in the muscle not the fat so she put it a lil higher than my butt cheek.
As far as I know it's when the woman is negative and the dad is positive.

Thanks ladies! 
I'm back from my appointment. It was not a big deal at all. They administered the shot in my upper arm (phew!).
I had to have it done b/c I am RH- and DH is RH+.
