Queens/Nassau people, can you please recommend your vet
Preferably someone who is fearless when it comes to cats

Dr Leon in Levittown Animal Hospital. My SIL has cats and has worked in pretty much every vet on the island and likes Dr. Leon the best. He is the only one she trusts.
We bring our Chihuahua to him as well.

Dr. Kaye @ Bayside Vet Center. (718) 229-2460. We love him so much we refuse to switch vets even though we moved 25 minutes away.

We go to Crawford Dog & Cat in Garden City Park on Jericho Tpke.
My cat is OUT OF CONTROL when we take him to the vet - so much so that we gave him a sedation med before going a few weeks ago, and while we *thought* he was sedated - when the vet came near him he lunged at his FACE !! 
Yet the vet was patient & understanding while DH was there. I'm sure he had a few choice words about Midnight when he left though !!

We just recently switched vets to Dr. Wyler in Whitestone vet care. i read incredible reviews on him and liked him a lot, very approachable and knows his stuff (very thorough) . His web site is drwylerpetdoc.com check him out!!

I've read such fantastic reviews on Crawford. It was just a bit too far for me.

Dr. Kaye is awesome! no matter if it was my dog, cat or iguana.....
also Dr. Perkins at Flushing Veterinary Hospital.... 4024 Murray Street, Flushing
(718) 445-0410.... shes really great and is very easy to talk to and will explain every little question you have in the most or least amount of detail you want.
we have been using both for over 15 years....

Thanks everyone!  Hades is a tough kitty. Our current vet weighs him in his carrier and even gives him his shots in the carrier. Hades never even comes out for his vet visit!

I use Terry Animal Hospital for my kitties. I love Dr. Funk in particular.

My cats are amazingly GOOD for the vet, though... However, I know a few horrors Dr. Funk (and the others) have dealt with and they take it all in stride. The entire staff is great, whether you have the hissing cat from hell or the purring lap cat who is crazy enough to love the vet.
