Setting up for a new year
What is on your to-do list to get your classroom ready for a new year?
In my school, we have to pack everything up, wrap bookcases and take everything off the walls so I always feel like I start from scratch every year so I start by cleaning from top tpo bottom ( custodial staff only does the floors), pull out all my stuff from the boxes and closets, decorate, do bulletin boards and then get all the paperwork done like student health and attendance cards, lesson plans, copies etc.

Re: Setting up for a new year
First on my to do list:
find out where the hell my classroom is!
Last year, my stuff dissappeared for two weeks!! It was like the Expedia wandering gnome. People kept spotting it somewhere around the HS, but then when I'd get there, it had dissappeared.
So this year, I plan on spending the two Supt. Conference days taking inventory.
And I'll do my bulletin boards and set my desk up.
