Anyone else have a dog with anxiety issues?

In the past 2 weeks or so my dog has had two different episodes where, for no reason at all, she'll begin panting and shaking. It lasts usually for about 10-20 minutes but then will usually happen again later on in the day and she'll be super clingy to us for the rest of the day too. Took her to the vet yesterday and he seems to think it's anxiety issues. He gave us medicine for her but said it could take up to 2 weeks to fully have an affect on her.

Has anybody else ever dealt with anxiety in dogs?

could it be the bad weather? Our dog gets that way when there's thunder. We just hold her tight and pet her and speak to her.
