What would you do?

I am SO bored at my job. Like..this whole week, I've done nothing but go on FB. Honestly. I am an office manager/exec assistant, but thers just NOT enough work for me to do...I'm so bored, I'm getting a lil depressed

I have good hours, they pay for my health insurance (for me and hubby), pay for my metrocard-but I'm not making what I should be making. At all.
Been here over a year and no mention of a review-or anything. I work with 2 older people in my office and thats it. BORING.

Would you look for another job in this econmy or stick it out?

why let the "economy" dictate your happiness?

it doesn't ever hurt to be looking

take control of your life and happiness!

you have to change your mind set towards what you want and you will get it

I would look while you stick it out if you would like to However, as someone who has been looking since October of 08 for an Executive Admin Assistant job, it is VERY quiet out there. Good luck.

I am also really bored in my job, it's time to move on, but I haven't gotten any interviews (nor have I seen that many job postings in my field). I almost feel guilty for sitting there and getting paid for the little that I do.

All I can do on a daily basis is remind myself of the positives (I have a job that pays well, I like my coworkers except boss, it's in my field, it's flexible to be off for my kids if I need to)

Are there other responsibilities at your job you can ask to help out with which could eventually make you more marketable?

If anything, that could at least give you something to do.
