Just curious if you have 3 kids (or more) how exactly it works once they are school aged & in different activities (sports, scouts, dance, etc.) as far as handling pick ups/games, etc. (especially if you & DH both work).
How do you even handle "simple" things like dropping them off at school & picking them up if you're both working? (do you work it out w/ a neighbor or friend?)
Sorry for the "stupid" questions but we're just starting to get DD involved in activities this year, DS is not even 2 & we're still considering a 3rd---but DH doesn't see how it works when they get school aged.

Well....
It's not going to be any different with 2 than it would be for 3....
As the kids get older you usually find someone to carpool with when it comes to activities. You drive one week they drive the following week....
Cin...
These are just the types of things that just "work out" for the most part...KWIM?

Agree with Heather. Usually there is another parent who is kind of the same position as you. You can drive there and the other parent can pick up, etc.
Trust me (and Heather) there is ALWAYS a way it works out.

I haven't gotten there yet, and I only have 2, and a DH who works until after 9 at night every night, but I know that it just works itself out. This fall, both my kids are in the same Karate class, so that works out well. Soccer is done by age, so I have two separate hours on Saturday's to sit for that (the other child must sit with me too since DH is not home on weekends to take one). I am thinking of signing up DD for a dance class.... That will get tricky, but I think I can schedule it while DS is still in school.
And when times conflict, I will rely on carpooling with other kids in their classes. I grew up as one of 6 kids - and all I can remember doing as I got older is calling someone for a ride to practice or a game.
