Question about when to start

Hi everyone. I miscarried on August 15. The Dr.s (both RE and OB) said to wait one cycle and then I could start again. So do you think that means that when I get my AF soon (probably in about a week or sooner) I can start blood and sonos three days later? Or do you think it will be this ovulation and AF then another ovulation and then start monitoring when I get my second AF? Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

I think they typically mean just after your first AF arrives you can start to TTC and with the bloodwork.

I was told to wait 2 full cycles and then start trying when AF came for the 3rd time so in your case I would say they want you to wait 1 full cycle then start trying after your 2nd AF starts.

Thanks ladies. I got to the RE next Tuesday so I will find out then. I'm so anxious to start so I'm really hoping I can start blood and sonos when I get AF soon. I guess I will get the official answer in a week. Thanks!

Good Luck! I've heard different things from friends, so I think each doctor has a different opinion. I had a miscarriage on August 11 and my Dr wants me to wait two cycles. My #s just finally came down to zero. I feel like AF may not come for a couple more weeks though but don't really know. My Dr said to wait two cycles before TTC again.

I am so sorry for your loss, I was told to wait 2 cycles because your body is going to be alittle wacky afterwards. I choose to wait until this fall because I wanted to be mentally and emotionally ready to try again.
