question for teachers (proof of teacher)
For the most part I do trust that people would be honest but...
I would like to run a special at my office for teachers how could they show me that they really are a teacher or in the education field?
Do you have some kind of union card or identification that you carry?

We (nyc) get NYSUT cards. You can ask for a letter from their principal. I know in some places, like Barnes and Nobles, I have to show them a recent paystub.

yes, they could show their union card or their school ID.

Do you teachers normally carry them around?
I just want to offer a discount for teachers but didn't want just anyone to say their a teacher but I really dont want to make anyone bring a paycheck stub in...KWIM

I would think most people would carry their NYSUT card and/or ID card with them.

School ID or union card. I think health insurance cards also indicate that you are a UFT member

Also
For NYC if they use their insurance it says Dept of Ed on the card
