TMI question
i had the beginning of CM the other day and we bd'd that day...since then i have had no CM...is that strange? This is right around the time that i should be..

Not strange-this happens to me too. If you read Taking Charge of your fertility I think she says that EWCM can happen before you O and by the time you O you will probably not have it

i didn't have EWCM yet either, i thought i'd have it by today, maybe tomorrow...maybe its just a delayed O because of stress.. .
its just strange that its just dry!!
I just finished reading that book too! Great book...

You're not alone in this. I am having trouble reading my CM also. I know I have some, but can't quite figure out which type it is. So we just keep BDing every other day until my temps shift... And last month I barely saw any. (This is my 2nd cycle TTC, 3rd off BCP)
Did you just go off the pill? I am wondering if that is affecting my CM.

i went off the pill about a year and a half ago..and now that i know what to look for as far as different types of CM, i know that i've had it every month...but its just weird that the one month i start charting that its not around the same time as usual!!
i know that stress can throw it off, and i've been through some new stress over the past two weeks with my job-
I think going off the pill can definitely affect it!

I went back and re-read some portions of TCOYF after I posted and finally found a section that confirms what I was thinking- that going off the pill could affect CM. There is so much useful information in that book, and it's hard to remember everything exactly. I keep going back and re-reading sections.
I think your right about the stress. That s*cks that the first month you start charting it's MIA. Hopefully it's just a slight delay and you'll see it soon.

I remember getting CM before I was on the pill, but I never new its purpose and therefore, never payed attention to the quality, etc... (I did understand that it was a healty part of being a woman.)
What I've gotten out of what I've read is that every woman is different and that your cycle might not follow the textbook norm. If you get a "lube" quality maybe that is/are your day(s).
I never saw EW this month, but the four days I had CM it was 2 inches stretchy  (sticky and stretchy, creamy and stretchy)
I feel like it will take me several months to figure out my cycle-- and (just like the other women on here) I would really like to get PG sooner than later. Maybe I'll just get lucky

I purchased this book after a lot of women were talking about it on here. It has been very helpful.
