question about progesterone and ttc

I have been reading this site daily for two weeks but too scared to write... what a chicken. Anyway I had a miscarriage this past summer. It was my first pregnancy and I am all cleared by my doctor to ttc again this month. I am going to do my opk again but my question was about progesterone creams, pills and suppositories. Since it was my first miscarriage should I look into trying one of these? I have one friend who used a suppository and another that used a natural progesterone cream. both are past there first trimester.

Maybe I'm just looking to much into it. I guess I'm just a little afraid and I just want a healthy pregnancy.

There are so many causes of miscarriage besides low progesterone. Most of the time, I believe it is due to chromosomal abnormalities.

Unfortunately, miscarriages are so common that doctors don't do any testing until after 2 or 3 and most can't be prevented.

The good news is that odds are in your favor to have a healthy pregnancy next time around.

Thanks... I decided to stop researching, relax and just try again this month. I'm all cleared to ttc again so I bought an OPK and I'm just going to take it one day at a time. Please pray for health and stickydust!
If I get pregnant this month we will find out before our anniversary! Yippee what a gift that would be.
I just want to say thank you to everyone for this board. All of you have really helped me get through this past months!

I think it is a good idea to just relax and enjoy the ...do as I say, not as I do.

The doctor will prescribe it to you next time you are pregnant if they feel you need it until then, I wouldnt stress over it. When progesterone is low at the time of a m/c, it's usually b/c the pregnancy wasnt good and NOT b/c you have a progesterone deficiency.
