When is...
kindergarten registration normally?
DH and I are trying to figure out where we are going to relocate to especially if I am going to be staying out in Riverhead and since DD goes to K next year I want to make sure we choose our living situation.

I think it varies by district. I know by us it was in April. We moved into the district after registration and just brought Robbie's papers to the central office - easy peasy!

It varies by district...
Usually in the Winter though...
I think Smithtown is January...
South Huntington is February...
When I was in West Babylon it was March...

Ours starts in January but you can register anytime after that if you move after the initial registration day.

I think it is january and then they do testing on the kids, right? like in May?

We're in West Islip and we had to register in November. You could register later, but you were not guaranteed a spot in the school you are zoned for.

January. However, registration is always ongoing and you just have to call and set an appt. to register.
