I'm sooooo itchy!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE...went to Dr.

OMG...I have such an itchy belly the last few days...especially the area right around my belly button. I put lotion on my belly several times a day and it still doesn't help!!!

If anyone knows of anything else I can do, please let me know.

ETA...I had a doctor's appt this morning and told him how itchy my belly is and there is a slight rash around my belly button. My chest and arms also itch...they are sending me for blood work to check that I don't have cholestatis...something to do with your liver.

I'm praying that nothing is wrong and that it's just normal pregnancy itch.

Palmers makes an oil that works really good on me - it's w/ all the other palmer lotions. It's specifically for ichy belly's

I went through this at one point too....

I always use the stretch mark cream...

but when I went through my itchy stage.. i bought Cetaphil cream (a dermatologist recommended, because its so soft) and after using it every day for a few days it went away...

I use it everywhere... no razor bumps or itchy legs now too

I had PUPPPs when I was pregnant...sounds like exactly what you have, and it drove me NUTS.
I was given allergy meds (I think it was zyrtec...?) and it helped alot.

It definately sounds like PUPPS. I have cholestasis, which makes you incredibly itchy, but because the itching is internal instead of external, it doesn't leave a rash. PUPPS leaves a rash, because it's external. Plus, cholestasis makes you itchy EVERYWHERE, while PUPPS is commonly on the belly area. I'm obviously no doctor, but it sounds like PUPPS to me. Update us and let us know how the bloodwork goes. Until then, try not to itch too much! (I know how hard it is not to though!)

You girls are right...this does sound just like PUPPPS (I just read about it on the internet)...what is wrong with this doctor?????? Why would he say cholestatis? I'm nervous now...

I clearly had a little bit of a rash around my belly button and on my arm. I'm also itchy on my chest.


He told me to use Aveeno bath and I'm going to buy that Cetaphil stuff...I hope this helps because now the more I think about it, the more it's itching me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me know if the Aveeno bath and the Cetaphil help at all. I knew that it was definately cholestasis when NOTHING helped the itching. I'm sure your doctor just did the bloodwork as an extra precaution. It's better to be safe than sorry! You're lucky, because my doctor didn't do bloodwork right away and after I called him practically in tears because I was itching so badly and nothing was helping, he FINALLY did. I wish I had a cautious doctor instead of an easy-going one.

I know Aveeno and Cetaphil did nothing for me...just made me more frustrated. I tried it all and nothing helped until I got prescription allergy meds.

My Dr had also told me that I would have the PUPPPs until I delivered (which I was diagnosed at about 20 weeks!!!!! ) but it didn;t stay that long, thank goodness!!!
