has anyone gotten pg after a mc and not waited a cycle

I went to the dr on Tuesday for my post op after my dc that was on the 25th. He told me to wait to get AF and then we can try. I asked him about trying now and not waiting and what would happen. He said that you may mc again you should wait until AF to shed the lining once and then you are ready to carry again. I am going to wait, but I was worried I would miss that first O (which you are supposed to be fertile after you mc) and was wondering if that was the really fertile O or will the O after AF be as fertile too.

I know I am rambling. This is was my first PG and MC and am learning as I go. DId anyone not wait and get PG? DId you have another MC? I am so anxious to try again, but want a healthy pg. Any thoughts would be great, thanks.

I didn't O after my D&C but I got AF 24 days after the D&C (my normal cycle is 33-34). After that AF, I TTC and got pregnant and naturally miscarried.

I've heard of getting pregnant before AF and having healthy babies, but I've also read that many don't O the first cycle after a miscarriage or D&C..good luck on whatever you decide.

My situation is different but still, I would just wait a cycle and listen to your doctor.

I had a D&E after a late loss in the second tri. I was told to wait 2 cycles or 8wks (I don't get AF on my own and use an RE to get pregnant). So, I am waiting till 8wks post D&E to start trying again with my RE.

Above all, just listen to your dr. You don't want to be in a rush to get pregnant if it's not safe!

I did and I am 7 months pregnant. From what I read online it doesn't increase your chance of a second miscarriage but drs say to wait for dating purposes.

I am trying this month after 1 cycle but I don't think I o'd after my mc...

Thanks for the responses. My doctor said that we are suppose to O after the MC and then get AF and then O etc.. I am not sure if I will or have. I was going to see by using the OPK because I am sure my cycle is off. I am just afraid to go through this again. I am grateful for your responses it really helps.

I know people who have gotten pg after m/c right away. I think that they want you to wait b/c you won't really be able to date the pregnancy w/out getting AF and may cause alot of stress and worrying. I mean think...you go in for what you think is a n 8 week sono and see nothing..but that may mean nothing b/c your dates may be off so then you are left worrying...

but you have to do what's best for you. Good luck!

My Dr told me that your uterine wall is thinned after a m/c or D&C and that if you get pregnant again right afterwards it may not implant correctly which will cause you to m/c again. I am also seeing an acupuncturist who said the same thing as my Dr. As anxious as I am to TTC again, I'm going to wait two cycles as both the Dr and acupuncturist are suggesting.
