I need some cheering up

Yesterday I posted about a dog we found - a stray...my husband didnt want to keep him so we found a woman to take him that tries to reunite strays with their owners. If she can't then she will try to get them adopted.

My husband felt it would be too much to keep him with my being pregnant and the baby so close (do we have enough attention to give both?)

So i tried not to get attached - but I did, I was hysterical last night when we dropped him off.
Now my hubby said - maybe he came to us for a reason..although I am not sure he will change his mind about keeping the dog.

I am so sad - I feel like my house was so empty this morning - I miss the dog....will this pass - am I being rediculous????

you are not being ridiculous just human. Of course you are going to feel some sort of attachment, it will pass. Just wait and see how much love and how happy you will be when your baby comes along.Chat Icon

I would feel the same way... maybe try to convince your hubby to keep him, if you really want to!!!

Aww sorry you feel so sad about it. If you really are missing him so much, you should make your DH understand how much the dog means to you. Good luck and feel better Chat Icon

Aww I truly feel for you. When I gave the dog to irishbride (Lisa) I knew she was going to a great home with great people and I cried my eyes out! I couldnt even watch as they got her in the car, my mom and Lisa had to put her in. I was devestated for weeks but with time it passed and I realized I could never give her what they could anyway. Yes you can get attached to dogs sooo quickly..I know it hurts but time heals all! Chat Icon

I'm so sorry you feel sad! Yes, dogs are so loveable that it's sooo easy to become attached! But your little baby will be here soon and you will have somebody even sweeter to cuddle! The dog is going to a great home and maybe when you and DH are settled with your baby you will decide together that its a good time for a dog- there are so many out there that need good homes you will find another sweet one!

HTH! Here are hugs! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
