Sad

I could use some hope, advice, hugs...
I suffered a mc July 2010 after our first month trying
my cycles are pretty regular which made it easy to chart, etc..
I took a 3 pregnancy tests all with BFP this past Friday, the day my period was due, well this morning I woke up with spotting and now a regular period and a BFN test

Does this sound like a chemical pregnancy? I was planning to call my doctor on Monday am, do you think I will have to get a D&C, I dont think I can go through that again

ANy advice would be great, Thanks!

Re: Sad

I think that early it's still considered a chemical and you wouldn't need a d&c Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon I am so sorry you're going through this, how frustrating!!!!

with a chemical you do not need a D&C. so sorry! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

a chemical is considered a miscarriage. so if you had a prior m/c and now a chemical you should consider going for immune and thrombo (blood clotting) testing. many of the findings of these tests are treatable fairly easily and could prevent future m/cs.

good luck!!

Re: Sad

Thanks so much for your words!
I think I will see if my doctor suggests us going to a specialist just to be sure.

that is quite possible, but most of the most common reasons for early m/cs are treatable with lovenox (blood thinner injectable) or intralipids infusions. neither of these are difficult and they treat a number of issues that cause miscarriage. if your current doctor doesnt do anything to determine why you've miscarried twice, i highly recommend seeing Dr. Braverman in Woodbury. he's my RE (i have PCOS and have had 2 chemicals also) as well as many other ladies on this site. he is absolutely phenomenal and will be able to determine the reason for recurrent miscarriage and treat it. he does the most comprehensive testing workups of any RE's on long island.

good luck and dont be too nervous, most issues are treatable!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
