bfp after misscarriage question
I'm extrememly nervous and scared and want everything to be ok but i have no idea when i should contact my dr..should i wait or call soon? I'm not sure what they will actually do for me at this point? any help is greatly appreciated. TYI

I would call. Thats what I did after both m/c. They had me come in right away for a beta and progesterone test.

I haven't posted on this board in some time but after two misses I was terrified when I became pregnant again. I was seeing an RE at the time and they took my progesterone levels regularly b/c my levels were on the low side and I went on suppositories and they checked my hcg levels every two days. IF I went before ten in the morning to have the bloodwork I got a call back by two in the afternoon. They also gave me weekly sonos to see that the sac and baby was growing and then I moved onto my OB at eight weeks who gave me a sono at every visit thank god....
I also rented a fetal doppler which was a god send for me....That's what helped reassure me throughout my pregnancy with my daughter....Good Luck

i would call the doc..i asked mine whenever i get my bfp should i wait come in..she told me to come in

Thank you all so much..i called the dr. and have an appt. on wed. They actually wanted to see me yesterday but I couldnt make it and really wanted to wait for a specific dr b/c I'm so nervous that things may not be what I want them to be. Prayers needed.

Daisy, I feel the exact same way... I am so nervous that this will end like my 1st pregnancy. I went to the dr. today and she said so far everything looks good. I am 4 weeks. She wants me to come back thursday to get my blood drawn again to make sure my levels are going up consistantly. Last time they weren't. Let me know how your apt goes on Wednesday. Good luck!

It really is a scary thing. I remember being so excited and terrified at the same time. Everyone is different. I waited to call the doctor when I got my BFP again, and I waited till 8 weeks to go in. My doc doesn't do betas so going early would just have left me nervous.
I hope your appt goes well! I wish you nothing but luck.
Here's what I had to remind myself when I found out....MOST of the time everything goes ok. The odds are definitely in your favor of going on to have a healthy pregnancy.
Try to keep that in mind

daisy, how did everything go? i just went again today and they said (knock on wood) everything seems to be going well. My hcg is at 2000 + and she said the sono matched my levels. I am still so nervous though. Lots of to us both!!!!!

So went back for more blood work and find out tomorrow if HCG doubled...crossing my fingers and praying hard!! Any new updates with you??? They did a sono?? How many weeks are you..I hope they so a sono sson so I can see something!! Cont'd

I am 5 weeks now. They already did 2 sonos. I think because I had no idea how far along I was so they wanted to see and the second time was because they wanted to see if it was growing. The first time the gs did not grow. Good luck with your levels.

i go back again tomorrow for more blood work..kind of upset because no one called me with my blood results from friday..they're doing it to reassure me yet are only making it worse! ugh so praying tomorrow brings good news
update: my numbers came back great..HCG 4900 progesterone 28...now wait for the sono nov 1st!
