Seems like my gyno messed up again! (update)

Well my gyn seems to have messed up yet again. I spoke to the nurse last Wednesday and she said she was sending the referral out for the sonogram right away. Now its Thursday and still nothing. Its sooo frustrating! I feel that when I call I am "annoying" them but now I have my sono appt for next Wed and I dont have the referral. Should I call them today and ask what happened?? I hate to hear the sound of "annoyance" in their voice but its my right isnt it??

ETA: OK I feel bad now because I just got it in the mail. LOL But now I have another question..she said she was sending me for an "internal sonogram" but on the referral is says pelvic sonogram. Isnt a pelvic sonogram the one thats only on the outside?? Now I am confused!

I would def. call again, it's their mistake!

I've learned you have to keep on top of these things yourself, something similar happened to me and I had to run all around to get a test so that I could still have my HSG done on time.

Call them - is it possible they can fax it to you or you can just to pick it up yourself?

I would def call again and if you hear annoyance in their voice tell them this is not your fault but you really need the referral and if they don't like their job or can't do their job correctly they should look for a new one. Good Luck!!!!

I would call again. Be sure to ask if you will get the actual referral. Some ins. co just log the referral into their systems and you never actually get a physical document. Don't worry about annoying them, you should be annoyed for having to remind them to do their jobs.

What insurance do you have. I remeber when I had Oxford, it took them 3-4 days to get the actual referral before they sent it out.

They should be able to send the referral out immediately. I would call them and tell them to fax it over right away. I'm sorry your OBGYN isnt doing what they are supposed to - and I'm glad you have an appt with the RE!

A Pelvic Sono can be internal or external I believe..thats how we code it at work...So I think thats ok
Im so glad yoru going to a RE and away from them SOON.
