cutting your dogs nails-groomer?

Where do you bring your dog to get his/her nails cut? My dog has black nails so I can't see the vain and I am scared to do it myself. Where do you bring your dog in the North Massapequa area?

I am not in that area, but just wanted to recommend Petco. We take our dog there to have her nails cut and they always do a good job.

We usually go to Petco too - BUT - we are trying to stay away from the one on Sunrise Hwy in Massapequa...There is a woman there (we've seen her on weekends) whose hands literally shake as she is doing it, and it scares the cr@p out of me...And Daisy!!!! So I can't put the poor little pooch through that again...She did get her once where she started bleeding...not exactly something I want to run back to...But if you don't get her, it's fine! I either take him to petco when he gets a bath or to the vet's office.

Petco/Vet's office should do it complimentary. I have a dremmel and do them my self, always make sure you have some quik stop laying around. If not, take a bar of soap and jam it onto the nail to stop the bleeding (it works just as good as quik stop).
