Officially introducing myself
Hi! I am 10 weeks 3 days pregnant with twins!
I had a sono at 8 weeks and again today. They are both still there, with strong heartbeats! Yay!
Here is a pic of my 8 week sono
Today I got a picture of each separately. The Dr. said it looked like they were in separate sacs but shared a placenta. They couldn't confirm that they were identical or fraternal. We are on the fence, but think we are going to wait till the delivery to find out what we are having. I have a beautiful 1 year old at home! She turned one this week, and I turned 30 yesterday! Its going to be crazy with 3 under 2, but I look forward to it and I can't wait to learn from all of you!

Congrats!!
I am currently almost 16 weeks with what they think are ideatical twins. They have been able to confirm there are 2 sacs but have been unable to find a second placenta.
We are hoping to find out the sex of the babies next week when we go for the AFP at the perinatologist.
I have a 2 year old DS. As nervous as I am, we are still soooooo excited!!!

welcome and congrats to you :) I will be 10 weeks tomorrow. You are lucky to have already gotten sonogram pictures!!!! My doctor didnt give me any when I went in. I go back on Dec 8th, so I will be asking for sure (i just assumed they didnt give pics this early on).
Is this your first pregnancy?
When i went to my first appt at about 6 weeks to confirm the pregnancy, they thought my babies were sharing the same sac. When I went back at 9 weeks, they were able to see they are in separate sacs which made me very happy (much safer for the babies because the cords cant get twisted and whatnot)
Can the doctors tell if they are going to end up being identical or fraternal before they are born? Are you hoping to find out one or the other? Hoping for same sex, or opposite sex?

wow!!!! did you run into any complications with the babies sharing a sac? My doctor has me nervious when they thought mine were sharing one. Told me its a higher risk pregnancy. Just curious how it ended up for you. :)
