Spinoff to Twin Birthday Party
When your child is invited to a bday party for siblings, not of the same age/grade, do you buy a gift for both? DD went to a party last week and I didn't even realize that it was also a celebration for her older brother, who is 3 years older. The invite was sent by email and I don't run into the mom that often so I would not have known to get him a gift too.

Re: Spinoff to Twin Birthday Party
I just had a joint birthday party for my 3 and 5 year old and purposely did not tell people because I did not want people to feel obligated to buy the other a gift. I just wrote the name of my child who's friend it was on the invite. However, my close friends that knew, did buy gifts for each.

Re: Spinoff to Twin Birthday Party
I just had a joint party for my 2 and 4 year olds. I did put both kids names on all the invites and the 4 year old's friends only bought gifts for the 4 year old. The 2 year old doesn't really have any of his own friends yet I was honestly relieved that most (if not all) didn't feel obligated to buy the 2 year old a gift!

Re: Spinoff to Twin Birthday Party
DS has been to parties with siblings. We just buy for the child that DS knows.
