How do I explain this one?!?!?
DD will be 4 soon (on Wednesday!!  ) and tonight for the second time asked me how she got out of my belly. I totally did not expect this question this soon and have no idea how to answer it. Then tonight she also asked how she got into my belly.
When did your DC ask this question? And how did you answer it?

For now I've told them that Mommy and Daddy loved each other so much and wanted a baby so bad that God put them in my belly. They didn't really ask anything further than that.

It's time likes that that I was always happy I had a c-section I told her when she asked that the doctors took her and Chase out of my belly, because they did! I honestly don't know what I would tell her if I had a vaginal delivery. I'd be afraid of scaring her with the truth! As for how she got in there, oofa, I haven't had to answer that one yet! I don't even know what I would tell her, but usually less is more at this age.

I had a c-section too and the first time she asked, I told her the same thing. Her response? "But how did they get me out?" I had no idea what to say so I said they cut me. That wasn't the best idea. She said "But then you'd die!!!!!!" I told her they did it really quick and sewed me back up. She must have forgotten that response since she asked again. She asked again after I first posted this question (she was in bed having trouble sleeping) and I tried the angels/God response. Again I got "But how???"

I pretty much use the answer. God put the baby there. The baby comes out - the dr takes the baby out. When the baby is big enough - it starts pushing and mommy feels the pains so I go to the hospital and the dr takes it out of mommy's belly. I leave out where it comes out and how I push it out...no need right now at 3 and 5 to hear anymore. If you ask my kids they think it comes out of my mouthand I throw it out. They ask to look down my mouth to see if they can see the baby - haha...I told them they can't and I don't throw it up but that is what they choose to believe.

I told both of them that I had to have an operation to have them. They both know what an operation is because I had surgery this summer. I showed my DD my c-section scar and she stopped asking. Sometimes she will say matter of factly "Mommy you had an operation to get me"
