Soccer coach
Soccer is over next week til the spring.
is it customary to give a holiday gift next week or do you give a reg gift at the end of the season which would be around may?

I'm planning on giving one this weekend and then another at the end of the spring session.
Are you going to the holiday party? We got the 2nd session but we already have a birthday party earlier that day so I'm not sure if we can make it.

If soccer is over next week, you give a gift generally at the end of the spring season.
In the league I was in the coach in the Fall may not be the same in the Spring.
Also - it was usually a team gift that someone coordinated for the coach & the assistants.

Usually one parent collects the money and then purchases a gift card to be given to the coach at the last game/festival.

My husband coached our son's team this year and at the end of the season (last weekend) most of the parents gave him a DD gift card, something small as a thank you.
In our league, you have different coaches for each season.

if her current coach is Joe and her spring coach is alex then why would I buy alex something in the spring and not joe in the winter??? (Totally made that one up)
I assumed her coach was joe until may but after reading this thread I may be very wrong.

Different leagues handle it differently. I think you are LSC Snoopy division, as we are. For the Snoopys it's the same team and coach for the fall and the spring, and we registered for both fall and spring at one time.
Our local PAL league only signs up for one season at a time, so for that league the end of fall is it for that team and if you sign up again for the spring it's probably a different mix of kids and a different coach.
We gave the coach a DD gc in a holiday card at the end of the game today, but most families didn't.

Every season, we would chip in for a coach's gift for whoever our coaches were for that season.
Does that make sense?

My fault bc I actually just assumed it would be the same coach. I am going to be upset if its not actually.
I think I am gonna go with the gift regardless. How much of a Dunkin Donuts GC? I usually do 20 dollar gifts for extra people.
