School pics dilemma
My DD got her school pics back and she has pink all around her mouth area. It's not dark but it's still there. She told me a week after the pics were taken that she borrowed a friend's lipstick for the pics. She's in 1st grade and she doesn't really own lipstick for play or otherwise so I had the whole talk about using other people's make up (at age 6!) and sort of forgot about it bc it's not like they'd let her take pics with a face like the joker from Batman, right? So apparently it turns out it was a mess and she wiped if off but not well enough bc she has this pink area all around her mouth. It doesn't totally make the pics useless but it's there. Otherwise it's a cute pic - her hair looks nice as does her expression.
Would you redo the pics or leave it and years from now be able to laugh & say "here's the year you put on someone else's make up"? I have pics from one year when I decided to jazz up my ponytails with extra bobby pins and they look ridiculous but it's very funny too.

I have to say thats a classic. If I wasnt going to use the picture for gifts or anything like that I would keep it as is.

Me too only because I am so anal about pictures (I would actually be pizzed that no adult helped wipe off her face) and they are so damn expensive for even a basic package.

Totally agree. The best school pics of me are the ones when I'm doing some dorky face or something.

I was thinking this too. keep this set and maybe do a smaller package re take?

They usually make you return the original pictures if you want a retake

I'd retake. I am super anal about pictures... Especially when I have to pay BEFORE they are taken, and they are not cheap.
Anyway, Andrew's pictures came home earlier this month. I open them up and the FIRST thing I notice is a HUGE booger hanging out of his nose. Seriously, the person taking the picture didn't see the very large bat in the cave? I mean, it was practically out of his nose, very noticeable. Of course, on picture re-take day, I sent them back in and had him re-take. And of course, scanned a copy of the booger picture so I could keep it and look back and laugh.

didnt think of that either. as the 2 posters above me said...if you decide to re take and you have to return the 1st set...definately scan a copy for you to have to look at and laugh at in the future.

Thanks for the input. I'm sort of leaning towards keeping them bc everything else is so cute and really...am I going to care about 1 year's school pics down the line vs a very funny memory, KWIM? But then again, it's not like they are cheap and the smaller the pics gets, the less obvious it is that she has a pink around her mouth, it just starts to look odd.
On a related note, my DS got his pics back today and while I am biased, he is devastatingly handsome IMO. And very photogenic. But he's in a green tie dye shirt with a green foliage background, it's like a Where's Waldo hahaha

I would have to get at least a sheet of those pics or a small package. Then if I hadn't done a studio photo shoot in a while I would have another sitting even if not at the school.

At least her photos are clear - Ava's are blurry. Its a great photo of her too 
I would keep them - the lipstick story definitely needs proof in a few years
