I just stopped BC about 3-4 weeks ago so I'd say unofficially a month even though we were supposed to wait til my cycle is back to semi-normalcy.

"Officially" since October, so 8 months? But there were a few where I know we missed the boat b/c one of us was sick or something, so maybe 5?

My Doctor told us average is 6 months..... the chances of getting pregnant each month are about 15%.......
DH and I are hoping within 6 months.... but, I was on the pill for 3 years... and just came off which could also affect the cycles......

I've been off bc for 3 months and still waiting to really "try" b/c my cycles aren't normal! Technically we're trying, but haven't had any "good" days yet!!

to be honest, there was a post on the PG board recently about how long it took and those of us trying over a year or more were definatly the minority not the majority, so I do believe in 6 months or less for most and unfortunatly more for some of us ...

I agree. I was a bit devistate... yes, devistated at how many got pg "the first month trying". We started 3 months before our wedding, so 15 months now. Because I'm over 35, we are now onto IVF after 4 failed rounds of IUI's.
I really hope to be successful. I ony have one biologically related female cousin and after a late term miscarriage, she adopted. All of my male cousin's wives are Fertile Myrtles. I WILL SUCCEED
