Re: HEY DH

Ugh, I know the feeling. We got our second dog Lucy and DH said that she was going to be HIS dog. Chat Icon She loves him, of course, but since I'm the one to feed and walk them, she's still MY dog. I've given up on asking him to help and just take care of them both myself. Chat Icon

Re: HEY DH

Begged my Dh not to get the dog in the first place. He did and I am in the same boat.. Not only does he do NOTHING to take of her but she doesnt want him to anyway.. If he puts the food down she wont eat , she runs in her cage if he trys to let her out.. Its all on me.. And he loves her so much!! He is alwyas hugging and kissing her .. all night in bed all morning when he gets up he is all over her.. She just prefers me over him..

Now she became my baby instantly and it was love at first sight. But it would be nice to get a break once in a while..

Get him used to BOTH OF YOU .. Thats my strong advice!!!

Re: HEY DH

Awwww...so sorry!! My DH gets lazy at times too!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon for the most part he is good because I force him toChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon I have the morning shift since I get up earlier. He takes her one more time around 8am before he goes. We have a dog walker who takes her around 12:30PM or so. My 13 year old daughter walks her after school 5PM. She goes out again (whomever is available then) at 8:30M and the final walk is at 10:30 or 11PM by DH.

Sometimes DH falls asleep and forgets to walk her Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Mind you ...he wakes up at 8am or later Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon If he forgets to walk her...then instead of being up at 6:15am (she is in a routine) then she wakes up at 5am....Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon and I still have to get ready for work and make sure my daughter gets ready.
