Air Hogs Helicopters?

My 5 year old wants one for Xmas but they all seem to be 8 and up. Is there something similar that is mroe age appropriate for him, or would he be fine with one of those? Any recs for a certain one would be great since they all seem to have such mixed reviews.

Thanks

My kids have been playing with them for at least 2 years. They are VERY delicate so I think that why it's supposed to be for 8 years and older.
We just make sure they use them gently and with supervision.

Ditto here....

We don't have the Air Hog one in peticular, but we have had a few of the helicopters that say age 8 and up...As above posted stated, under the correct supervision he will have fun with it..We also have high ceilings which helped Chat Icon

Re: Air Hogs Helicopters?

I've bought 3 for my DH (who is in his 30's) and by the third day they're usually broken. Either by him, or by my 4 year old dd. But it's usually him that breaks it.
The one I just bought for him is a little bit more money than the cheaper ones and it isn't air hogs , not sure of the make but it's made of metal and seems to last a little longer than the other ones I've bought in the past.
they are very delicate and a waste of money if the child isn't extremely careful it.

I would never buy one for a younger child. My dd always cries when the darn thing flies up and then falls down and breaks.
