how old were your kids when they started making their own beds?
wondering if 3 and 4.5 is too young?

No I don't think so. My kids are 3.5 and 5. It's not perfect, but they take pride in what they did.

My DD is 4.5 and makes her bed every day! She just started doing it on her own and she's very particular!
My 6.5 year old is in a loft bed, so he kind of gets out having to make it since you have to be in it to make it. he does the best he can.

Same here...almost 5 and it's not how I like it so I wind up doing it. But I should give her more practice

They've been doing it since they moved into their own bedroom at 5 (Robbie) and 3 (Noah). They didn't do it WELL and I would often help them straighten and smooth.. but now they are champs and actually better than I am. The housekeeper normally changes their linens.. but if they need changing when she isn't there they do their own.
