My sons both love Trouble, Sorry, Totally Gross, Cadoo and Sequence
Not 'board games' per se.. but the following are super popular on Game Night:
Jam Pack Jam
Hullaballoo
Connect 4
My friend has been RAVING about a game "ThinkFun Zingo" - but I think my kids are just a little too old for it.. but it looks great for Pre-K through 1st and maybe 2nd.
This Christmas I am giving them "Whoonu" to add to their collection.

DS loves Zingo.
i love some of the suggestions - i might add that to his list. Don't break the ice was one of my favorites. I also think that I might try mousetrap, since he recently saw a video on youtube for it.

Regarding Sorry: does your DS not find it frustrating? I have absolutely no first hand experiences with any of the games, but I read some reviews on line and I understand the idea is that one person can send another all the way back to the start.
Do they not get mad is it happens to them? I think Benjamin would flip! He always wants to win when we play together!

It's really no more frustrating than Chutes and Ladders.. I mean you get all the way to the top and can slide alllllll the way down that giant chute! And yeah - Noah especially gets frustrated sometimes - but it's part of learning how to lose gracefully. He knows that a temper tantrum will get him ejected from the game and from participation in the rest of game night so he either uses his coping skills or spends the night crying. He's gotten much better as a result.

my 5 yo recently mastered UNO. He got it pretty quickly. He beat DH and I 3 times one night and we weren't even trying to let him win.
