Ticked at our local spca!!

So I went looking at dogs yesterday & came across Roger a 12 week old puppy. Cute as a button but had ring worm and could not be taken home right away plus I had to talk to DH. Well I called back today to say we where interested & they tell me he was adopted and taken home yesterday!!!

I love this shelter b/c its a no kill shelter & this is where we got Toby. i will keep looking & the right dog will come along.

Chat Icon That stinks! At least the cutie got adopted though. And like you said, you'll find the right pup! Chat Icon

I am going to let it go as a miscommunication. It was nuts there!People are adopting pets for Xmas. The sad thing is that the girl who I spoke to (who knows if she was telling the truth) say about 1/2 of them will be back by the end of the month.

She probably was. It's why an animal should never be considered a present, they shouldn't be in the same league as material possessions. I hope they're paying extra attention to the adopters around this time of year.

I know the disappointment you feel but when you do find the right dog, you will probably be glad that things turned out the way they did. Chat Icon

We had two dogs that we were very close to adopting when they were adopted by others. We were really upset about it but when we went back to the drawing board, we found our Ginger and are so glad we did. Chat Icon
