Anyone's company not feeling the recession?
Mine is hiring like crazy. My dept. must have doubled in size the last year or two and every week there's at least one job announcement. There are 3 or 4 today alone!
I work in the Education/Non-profit industry and jobs do vary from IT, to HR to Education Support....

Dh's company is spending like crazy and expanding. They are in data storage (which is only going to grow and grow and grow infinitely) and real estate, so the money they make in data storage they use to buy real estate in the down market.

my company is doing well. i'm very fortunate. We just hired a pr agency in London with three more coming on board next year throughout Europe and India. They dropped a ridiculous chunk of change at the holiday party - about $10K for 30 people.

Mine is doing very well and we're hiring and expanding as well. We manufacture cosmetics globally. Unfortunately, as employees you would never know how well the company is doing because they didn't do bonuses this year, nor did they do anything for the holidays like they have done in the past

I work in insurance industry. My company has made a large profit as of alst year, and still continues to aquire companies, etc.
The biggest problem, is it does not trickle down to us--no raises, no bonuses for teh 3rd year in a row
