does everyone who has a dog use this for heatworm protection...what else do you use...its so expensive...

i think there are a couple of other options in terms of heartworm medication... we get ours from the Foster & Smith website & its pretty cheap... $80 for a 6 month supply! thats a lot cheaper than what we were paying through the vet

We use Interceptor. But no matter what you use, if you go through drsfostersmith.com or healthypets.com or something you'll definitely save money over going to the vet.
